Introduction
At Petit Béret, we believe in a Privacy First approach. We aim to provide a powerful French learning experience without the need for invasive personal data collection. Your progress belongs to you, stays on your device, and is never sold.
Data We Collect
We do not collect personal information like your name or email by default. We process anonymous technical data (anonymous IDs, progress stats, and aggregated usage analytics) solely to make the app work and improve the content. We never build a personal profile.
Cloud Sync (Optional)
Cloud sync via iCloud or Google Drive is opt-in. If you enable it, your progress data is stored in your personal cloud account under your control. We do not have access to this data.
Third-Party Services
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy-preserving, no cookies, no fingerprinting) to understand aggregate traffic. The app uses no advertising SDKs and no third-party tracking.
Data Retention
All local data is retained until you delete it via Profile → Settings → Erase all data, or until you uninstall the app. We do not retain your data on our servers.
Children
Petit Béret is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
